Summer does not bring much rain to upcountry Maui, but on our farm, we still have many protea buds and new varieties coming as our daily sunshine makes each day a perfect growing day. Therefore, Anuhea Flowers is always ready for all your upcoming special occasions with our “Expression of Love”, “Signature Tradewind Basket”, and the long stemmed gift boxes of the seasonal varieties of Protea.

Bill, our grower, with the help of Naty, Michael, and their crew have several challenges over the summer months. They check every field and every variety to insure each plant is getting the care it needs. Naty spends June and July pruning, replanting, and fertilizing to be sure our bumper winter crop will be ready as fall approaches. Their other challenge is protecting our fields from the many deer who come down from the mountain looking for water and find some of the varieties of Protea quite tasty. Naty puts large buckets of water out for them, and the damage to the flowers is usually small. We still love to see them, along with the many pheasants who make our farm their home.

ALL orders received at the end of the week to be shipped on Thursday or Friday MUST be sent Standard Overnite Service for a Monday delivery. All Alaska and Canada orders are an additional $15.00 over the Standard Overnite Charge.
